Low Pressure are now offering cut down versions of the famous Stormrider Guides as electronic books or eBooks.
All our Continental eBooks contain the surf zones from the World Stormrider Guides Volumes 1 & 2, plus introductory pages covering Meteorology, Oceanography and The Ocean Environment. Regional 'Surf Travel Resources' maps plot locations of forecasting buoys, surf camps and surf schools.
All of our eBooks are provided in FlipViewer format, click here to download the FlipViewer eBook software. This is available for PC and Mac and is a very quick and easy process.
PLEASE NOTE THAT LEOPARD OS for MAC is CURRENTLY NOT SUPPORTED

Your Low Pressure Customer code
Your customer code is sent to you via e-mail as soon as you register. This customer code IS case sensitive
Your Subscription ID
Your subscription ID is your e-mail address. You will be asked for this once you have downloaded the e-book and are ready to view it.
Printing Your Stormrider e-Book
Low Pressure Stormrider e-Books are viewable on both PC and MAC. On Mac it is NOT possible to print out the whole book in one go....you have to print page by page. This will change soon.
How best to use the Main map
We recommend that you put a book mark on the main map page (normally on page 3 of the e-Book) so you can get back to it easily. On this map page you can click the red box of the zone that you are interested in and it will take you straight there.
VAT on e-Books
Paper books do not attract VAT but unfortunately due to annoying taxes by the European Union we must charge all European customers VAT at 17.5% on e-Books . Ongoing discussions are taking place in the EU to get this changed but for now we must do as the law says. If you live outside the EU there are no taxes to pay.
How many computers can view the e-Books
All e-Books are set to work on 2 computers. This way you can download them at home and at work - Or send one to a friend as a gift and keep the other for yourself!

Viewing your eBook offline
Once you have downloaded the eBook and already have the software
installed you can view the eBook offline.
Viewing your flip book on the road
Each eBook can be downloaded as many times as you like, just login
to your customer account page with the details sent you in the
order email....but remember you will also need to download the
FlipViewer software again so doing this sort of thing
from an internet cafe in some far flung corner of the globe is
not a good idea.
File sizes are large. We strongly recommend that
you print the pages you need before you travel. If you travel
with a laptop then you can view your ebook offline. Each
eBook can be opened on two separate computers only.
No response from Low Pressure?
When you have made your order and paid for your eBook you should
get an e-mail within a couple of minutes confirming
your order and giving a link back to the website. If
you get nothing it maybe that the e-mail sent to you has been spammed
away into your trash...so please check here. If you still have nothing then contact
us immediately and we will rectify the situation as quickly as possible.
When I enter my subscription ID (email address) I get the message "invalid subscription ID"
Firstly are you using the same email address that you used when you
purchased the eBook? If so try re downloading the eBook from your
customer
account area . Just login with your email address and the customer
code that was sent to you in your order confirmation email.
It's just not working and it's annoying me!
Hopefully no one will ever look at the answer to this question.....but
if you are, contact us and we will get back to you asap
and will deal with all problems as fast as possible.
I'm having a very hard time viewing and printing the guides.
My computer keeps freezing and crashing with the viewer program
and refuses to actually print anything
The eBook files are typically quite large (5MB-20MB) and sometimes older computers
can be slow to process the info. This is rarely a problem but if it becomes
an issue please contact us
Is it possible to view the Stormrider eBooks on my pocket PC
At this moment the FlipViewer does not support PDAs, because they
run on Windows Mobile and the display size is not suitable for
full-page format. Flipviewer are working on supporting Ultra Mobile
PC - tablet PCs, though, which run on a regular version of Windows.
